JOANNE - It all started with her ... the sisterhood, that is. As the oldest of the five of us, she has led the way with ideas, organization, decision-making, and (almost) with kids. She is a stay-at-home mom of five, ranging in age from 18 down to 6. Joanne and her husband, Rob, reside in Michigan - and they are a match made in heaven (but that's another story for another time). As a former elementary teacher, she is passionate about turning her family's everyday lives into educational adventures. She goes nowhere without her Nikon D3000 camera, there to capture all of those important events.
JILL - Then came Jill, finally giving Joanne a long-awaited sister (following after two brothers). And you can definitely see Joanne's influence on her first sister - Jill, like her sister, loves cooking, baking, and scrapbooking; reading good books; and sharing her wealth of knowledge (particularly in history) to elementary and high school-aged students. She also enjoys a good, competitive game of volleyball. Jill, her husband, Steve, and their two sons live in Wisconsin and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of a little sister for the boys next year.
JULIE - Last but never least - and certainly most unique - Julie joined the ranks four years after Jill, completing (for a time) the Albright Sisterhood. Julie loves to decorate and has a degree in interior design - she's fantastic at getting "the look for less." She and her husband David live with their two sons in Kansas where they work with the youth in a local church.
SARAH - The Albright Sisterhood of Three did well for a season; but after a while it was time for a change. And that change came with their older brother Jonathan's marriage to the gracious and lovely Sarah. She and Jonathan currently have five adorable kids at the ages of 9, 7, 5, 3 and 1 - you could say there's never a dull moment. She's great for the task that God has called both her and Jonathan to, as they minister in a new church-planting ministry in Utah. She's also pretty down-to-earth, though, and loves getting her kids involved in her at-home projects. And as she says, with those kids, "Sometimes it's pretty, sometimes it's messy, but it's always funny."
MEGAN - And then along came me. Yes, I'm shifting into the first-person now, so you don't have to wonder who the mysterious, "omniscient" third-person writer of these bios is. I was the last to become an Albright, the last to join the sisterhood, and the first to fall asleep at any and all Albright gatherings (it's a special talent of mine). I married Joel, the middle child of the Albright Five; and we have three children so far. Joel and I are excited about being in a place where we can share the Gospel with our kids, our community, and our church body. We live in Minnesota, where I enjoy reading & collecting books (especially old ones), doing music with Joel, taking pictures with my Nikon D3000 camera (yes, Joanne talked me into it), going for walks with the kids, and writing blog posts.
