Christmas Goodies for All

For the Albright family, Christmas is always a special time of year - as we celebrate our Savior who came as a baby to die for our sins and enjoy the special times that we can have together with family. Unfortunately, this year was a little different for many of us, as we were not able to have a large "family gathering." But no matter if we are together or not, there is always one thing that each of us greatly enjoys doing during this time of year - baking! This year we each made different Christmas treats - some were for our own consumption, and some were for others to enjoy. So for our readers' benefit, here is a comprehensive list (complete with recipes) of some of the baking that we did this year.

Joanne's Baking List:
Cinnamon Rolls (from The Pioneer Woman)
Joanne purchased pie tins from the dollar store, and placed 8 rolls in each tin. She and her family gave them as gifts for their neighbors.

She also used the following recipes for her family and friends:

Sarah's Baking List:

Megan's Baking List:
For her Christmas get-togethers, Megan used this Fruit Salsa with Stacy's Cinnamon and Sugar Pita Chips (found at most grocery stores).

She also received the following ingredients as a Christmas gift and was able to use the idea for a family Christmas meal:
Italian Dressing Seasoning, Brown Gravy Mix, Onion Soup Mix

Place a 2-4 lb. beef roast, some carrots and potatoes in a crock pot and topped with the ingredients and one cup of water. Cooked on High for 4-5 hours or low for 8-10 hours. The sauce is thicker, so additional gravy is not needed.

Jill's Baking List:
Jill individually wrapped each ball in wax paper, and placed in a paper box for gifts.

Julie's Baking List:
Julie placed several cups of Puppy Chow in a plastic bag and placed in a nice glass container for gifts.

We hope you enjoyed these recipe ideas - and even though the holidays are over, hopefully they can help inspire some cooking ideas or other hospitality ventures.
