The Grand Prize |
It's here - our first give-away! We are so excited about this, and have a few specially hand-made prizes to give away to a few fortunate readers. In the last two posts, Megan has been doing a "Jewelry Basics for Beginners," and she created this necklace & earrings set for our grand prize. Like it? Well, even if you don't, this could still make a great Christmas gift for somebody else! :-)
So, here's how you can enter (and you'll get an "entry" for each one of these that you do):
- Leave a comment at the end of this post (making sure to include your name) sharing which post/idea/story/craft you've enjoyed the most so far on The Sisterhood.

ReplyDeleteI especially appreciated a couple entries in particular...thank you for your examples of godliness! I only attended FBC of SH for a short while, but I learned and continue to learn so much from you and your families. Very Sincerely, Lillie--friend of the Fieldens/Sarah Reeves families.
ReplyDeleteJill's post on October 22 is the post I have appreciated the most; because, I only remember her as a sweet little kiddo, visiting at MBBC. Her maturing and willingness to learn through this heart-wrenching time in life is real and genuine, and I appreciated reading that. It can be difficult to know that God loves our children more than we do, and He knows what is best, because we wanted them at home with us.
ReplyDeleteJill, I have been praying for you.

I'm going to go like you on Fb after posting this; wasn't aware I could. Too hard to pick a favorite, so Jill's testimony, Joanne's penny activity, Sara's couponing, Megan's hot sandwiches and Julie's decorating on a budget.

Joanne's love story and Jill's touching story are my favorites! They remind me that God is always working for His glory and our good....We can't understand His ways but He is the Creator and we are created ones. I was reminded to trust and obey a loving, faithful God.
ReplyDeleteP. S. I enjoyed the recipes as well. Just made the yummy apple crisp last week!
I like your posts about learning the basics. I have an interest in this art but wouldn't know where to start. Your for beginners lessons are easy to follow and I love pictures in tutorials! :)

Great post about the jewelry. Now I need to go to Michaels (with a 40% off coupon of course) and see about some beads. I also enjoyed reading the details of Joanne and Rob's love story, and I especially appreciated knowing about Jill and Steve's heartbreaking story. Praying for you, Jill.

I have to pick which I like best? But there are so many....Joanne's love story, the easy and inexpensive wall art, recipes, etc. But my fave is when Jill's October 22nd story. Thanks for sharing, Honey. xoxo Karin Dow
ReplyDeleteI liked your Facebook page. That's only because they don't have a "love" button. ;) ~Karin Dow
ReplyDeleteI shared your blog and the giveaway on my wall. :) ~Karin Dow
ReplyDeleteI loved Jill's post on miscarriage. It's good to be honest, even a bit vulnerable. I've spent the last 13 years battling either infertility or miscarriage. My heart aches for her. Now that I'm finally on the other side of it (with a miracle 8yr old & 6 month old triplets via embryo adoption), I still think being open and honest is the best way to go. Don't know why some girls stay quiet about these issues. They're missing out on a ton of encouragement - as both the giver and the receiver!
ReplyDeleteOh-love the jewelry making. I am a big beader!Had a bead shop on etsy!

There are so many posts that I've enjoyed (Jill's story, the recipes, craft ideas) but probably the most encouraging for me was Joanne's love story. I'm in my late 20's and still single and it gave me hope that there's still a change I could get married some day if it's God will.
ReplyDeleteSandi Beam
I have enjoyed everything about your blog. I hope to try the recipes, not sure I am going to try the beading/jewelry making, but they sure are pretty. The stories have also been a blessing to me, seeing how God is the center of your lives is an encouragement to me!
